
Canon Alan Taylor completes 25 years as Vicar of St Aidan’s Church in Harehills, Leeds on 5th September.
He was born in Leeds and returned after 14 years in Liverpool diocese including eight as Vicar of St Anne's in Syanley.
The parish is holding a special eucharist on Sunday 6th September at 10.00 am. Many special guests have indicated their attendance including the Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councillor Judith Elliot.
At the service the address will be given by Reverend George Bush, Vicar of St Mary-Le-Bow, Cheapside, London who was one of the first curates of Canon Taylor when he was appointed to St Aidan’s.
Alan was appointed an Honorary Canon of Ripon in 1998. He is also Area Dean of the Allerton Deanery and a member of Leeds City Council representing the Gipton and Harehills ward.
