Caring for God's Earth - Environment Policy 2011
The Diocesan Environment Group undertakes to encourage, inform, support and challenge the parishes of the diocese in their awareness of a range of environmental issues. Our work is in accordance with the Environment Policy of the diocese and our priority is to reduce our carbon footprint throughout the diocese.
You can find out more about the work of the group by looking at the agendas and minutes of the meetings. There are a number of important websites which will offer useful resources to parishes. Two are :

This is a booklet produced by Newcastle Diocese in the belief that environmental concerns should be an integral part of the public and private prayers of all Christian people. The prayers are intended to 'fit in' with the usual forms of intercessions used in church. There are prayers for each day of the week and for each day of the month and could be used as they stand or as inspiration. A copy will be distributed to every Parish in the diocese but is available to download as a PDF. Click to download PDF
